The Taste of Food ‘Art’ at The Artiste Cuisine & Lounge

It’s time for food hunting again this Raya season whereby everyone is busy in family reunions, friends gathering, meeting up etc. After a long week end of working overtime in the office, I feel like giving myself a good food treat to compensate my hard work of furnishing a few of my company projects. Therefore, my wife have comes out an idea of having a try at this new F&B outlet located at De Garden, Ipoh.  As for me, hunting for nice foods is always a YES.

After we get our car parked, we took the escalator to Level 1 to search for this new outlet. I was told by the Les Marieez (a bridal boutique located at De Garden as well, few steps further down from The Artiste) owner, Cindy Loo (my former college-mate) that this Lounge has its grand opening this June 2012.  We pop into this lounge at about 7pm and there seems to be no customer arriving yet (probably both of us is just too early for dinner?) After we sat down, the waitress passed the menu booklet for us to decide on what we wanted to have.  Their menus contains mostly western cuisines, which consists of pasta, pizzas, western soups, lamb chops, smoothies, salad, juices and many more.  Since this is a lounge, they also serve different type of wine and beer.

We have come out with a selection of western potato soup, chicken bolognaise pasta, a Hawaiian chicken pizza and a glass of mango yogurt smoothies. The whole cost of this not even exceed RM 50 for 2 of us. The kitchen crew did an amazing job in preparing the food in such a way I am giving 90% marks to the served dishes.  I have taken a few of the photos that readers may like to refer to.

If I’m not wrong, the interior design of The Artiste Cuisine & Lounge is mainly concentrate on the theme “British”. Two huge British soldier dolls are placed at the main entrance, and a few smaller sizes British soldier dolls placing at the bar counter. Meanwhile, an antique post box and British telephone booth were also placed somewhere near a performing platform. There will be live band performance during the weekends.  

The lounge’s environment is pretty calm and not too noisy. I would strongly recommend this outlet for reunions and gatherings. The whole place is quite spacious and it can accommodate an amount of people.  People can easily enjoying the food without much disturbance.
